Starting problems

Well, I am new to this site, and have had a little look in troubleshooting, where starting is concerned.

I own a 53 plate A3 2.0 sport. love the car, after owning a mk3 gti, 2 Tdi mk4 Golfs, I decided it was time to grow up and I purchased Audi number 1.

The problem I have is that when its cold, the car dont wanna start 1st time, it went to start but would not turn over. but started on 2nd time... Is this something that I'll have to put up with? or is there an easy solution. battery has been checked and was told it was ok

most cars on this site seem to have a problem with a hot/warm engine start... Help me

Could be coolant temp sensor,mine does it some times and thats what i was told it could be

Have read elsewhere about maybe a Glow plug issue, or as you said temp sensor... ta for the reply. any idea of prices, or where to get them

Your in the wrong section you need 8p section... Glow plugs is it a diesel...
