Mate I had those and I had problems with them note it says 99% of cars will work. The CANBUS aware PLUS KIT at £69 from HIDS Direct on eBay works 100% and the ballasts are half the size and fully digital.
I bought these ones (
Single beam Canbus Pro HID Conversion kit - Xenon HID Headlight Upgrade Kits from HIDs DIRECT Ltd) - they don't use cancel blocks; the ones I replaced had these and sometimes I still got problems. I mounted them in the wing recess away from any other wiring as you need to avoid cables near the front crash sensors. This would and does cause ESP Brake warning error on startup. Trust me my old ones did this and I had to buy the resistors fix mentioned above to make my old non digital ballasts work most of the time without error. The B6 Crash sensor is the culprit and is triggered when the HIDS hog the voltage on start. This happens more often in the cold weather. - temps are a real pain.
The reason these are a tenner more than the standard is the Canbus aware ballast. It really does work. I paid £69 next day special delivery included. Id try and swap them for the CANBUS Pro kit.
The ones you have bought are the ones I had in for two years. I needed the blocks with these due to the current draw on cold temp starts when I flicked the lights the ABS ESP error and the speedo dosent work or ABS
I have had - 14c temp starts this week and no errors with the above CANBUS PRO KIT. I actually ordered the OEM bulbs but with the LED sides they looked after warm up yellowish. So I put in the old HID bulbs from my old ballasts that were 6K. They are a perfect match for my neighbours new 3 Series with OEM Xenons. I think the New OEMs are 5 - 6K as the 4200K look very yellowish compared with the new BMW and Mercs.
Yeah I got some canbus ok bulbs for the plates. They have numerous tiny SMD LEDS instead of a few. Again this tricks the ECU into thinking a filament bub is in. They have been in for over two years.
The tower type multiple led side lights also work in the B6 without the need to put in resistors.
I also LED'd the front rear and side indicators to get rid of the amber egg look. These did need resistors easy fix and the LED flashes like you'd expect instant on and off. they really look good. in fact the only bulbs on the car I have not changed is front and rear fogs for obvious reasons. Reverse looks great with White ICE LEDS.
I had it MOT'd at my local Audi (Tyneside) Centre with no issues.
I agree mate I hated light out warnings. Now the whole car has a modern light feel - no errors.
Once you get the bug
