Hi guys, Im hoping this is a simple one but who knows.
Ive spent the past few hours changing the interior on my 08 plate A3 from an 09 S-Line. I disconected the ground wire from the battery becasue I read in another forum thats what you should do if you dont have access to VAGCOM (I think thats rite?). Anyway the swap was simple enough, the old and new seats had the sam connectors, one yellow under the passanger and one yellow and one black under the drivers seat.
All connected up no problem. I then reconected the battery and put the key in the ignition, I heard a loudish beep and the DIS said ESP Error. When I start the car up I have the ESP warning light on (If its the car with skid marks) and an icon of a steering wheel.
What does this mean and is it bad? or can I just get it cleared at a garage?

Ill get a picture of the errors shown.

Thank you guys, I know your advice has always been a great help to me.

Chris

Ill give it a try round the street now, its on with the ignition and with the engine running though.

Both lights will go out after driving 100 yards or so.

Always happens after the battery has been disconnected.

Thank you, they have both gone out, I was caking myself then thinking Id broken something. Thank you...
