Replacement Bose Sub Woofer for 2002 S3

Hi,

I need to replace the existing Bose sub woofer on my 2002 S3, only had it a few months but blown already. Until i can get the funds for one of Andy macs stealth subs i want to get a straight replacement, i called Audi and they gave me the part number 8L0035401, does anyone know if this is the correct part?

When you say it's blown. Do you mean the actual sub has gone or the enclosure has cracked. The front plate normally is prone to cracking by a certain screw. I replaced the front plate with 1/4 inch mdf n it sounds better than it did before.

No its blown, highish volumes and after opening the boot you can hear it cutting out and farting. I think the base is coming from the back speakers now as i cant really feel any sub base anymore.

check out an 'andy mac stealth sub' for a decent after market replacement. Not exactly cheap but worth it

yep can vouch for the andy mac stealth sub, it's a good upgrade from the std sub
