2.5 tdi avant advice

Hi I am looking at a 2.5 Tdi Avant auto, I was told it is Tiptronic but from what I have been reading the tiptronic is only in the quattro, so if it a 2wd will it be multitronic?

it has 130K on it and been told to avoid the multitronic. is there any way of telling differance between the two just by looking inside at the gear stick area?

fwd = multi
quattro = tip

2.5tdi is the best/worst to go for.... it SHOULD have had full Audi recall, so is probably a better bet than a 1.9tdi multitronic.... check with that Audi garage though. there shd be one pricey recept with audi picking up the tab.

Quattro wil be badged front and rear and along the dash and are rare

I think he meant the difference between a Tip and Multi transmission, rather than the difference between fwd and quattro!

get a manual!!!!!!!!!!! only saying this coz ive got one! and ive never driven an auto or tip! but as the saying goes ! you dont miss what you aint had! sometimes wish id never had sex coz i really miss that! lol
