RichA3Turbo has asked me to organise GTI Inters this year as he is short of time. I know its VERY EARLY but the early bird tickets run out on the 31st March 2011 hence this thread.
Working from experience of organising the other shows (AITP/Spring fest etc), could people only add their names if they are definatly going i.e. purchased tickets as we have 50 say 'yea im in' and only 30 turn up. I will obviously over subscribe the places to an extent and will stay intouch with Sally as to extra places if needed.
Byzan and myself are buying a gas BBQ this year for ourselves and will be bringing this if everyone thinks they will use it. You provide the food and the BBQ will be there for everyone to use at their own pace etc. We will provide the usual sauce/utensils/tea/coffee/etc but I can't afford BBQ for 50 people
I hope it will be a great show and everyone will show their support for the club as they did last year, you are the people who make the shows what they are and its a great chance to get to put a face to the names. Using the following link you can make a windscreen thingmy with all your info etc on so people know who you are.

Early bird tickets can be purchased here: GTI Booking Form 2011
We look forward to making this the first BIG official show of the Audi year with many to follow.
Email info from Sally:
We have again chosen the last weekend of June and hope that this will ensure more favourable weather (who can say!) and it avoids the Le Mans and British Grand Prix weekends. And, not to be forgotten, it comes after payday for many of us!
As last year, the camping area will be close to the central area of GTI International, and will provide toilets, showers and catering, so campers should have all that they need. As they had very little support last year, we will not be providing a commercial bar or a marquee with music.
The organisers of GTI International have been working steadily to make sure that the event provides more enjoyment and greater value for the thousands of visitors and we have taken on board the criticisms and suggestions which have been made in the past. We cannot satisfy everyone, but we will do our utmost to make 2011 the best GTI International in recent years.
The Earlybird Offer has been emailed to all previous attendees of GTI International.
Information about Club Display areas, inter-club competitions, will be updated on the GTI website during the coming weeks. Each club will need to decide whether it also wants a similar club display area to that provided in past years for members to park together.
Please note that the offer of special club parking is only open to cars manufactured by the Volkswagen Group, Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Porsche and Skoda (and Bentley and Lamborghini!) If in doubt, please call or email.
Like last year, all visitors to GTI International will enter by the trade route and when your members arrive, please make sure that they display their club passes in the windscreen; only those who do so will be allowed to drive up the trade route to the club areas.
