Tell us more mate. This the chance to turn this into a proper debate.
What about 265bhp through the front wheels ?? Fuel consumption ?
I am going to look at one today but its got cloth interior etc and its £29k !!. any pointer would be great.
What to look at............
Usual stuff really. The engine is a tried and tested fit, manual 6 spd is a good box. 19's are desirable, RNS can be retrofitted for £500, latest Bluetooth for about £250.
The ride is great, I tend to have the DCC in Normal mode, sport tightens everthing up further, changes the steering feel too. MPG is high 20's to low 30's. Current long term average is on 31.2.
265 through the front wheels........ yes it can light them up in 3rd or 4th in the wet, torque sterr is a minimum, the XDS diff gives some assiatance, not to the extent a Quiafe does (had one on my Ed 30) but just nicely IMO.
The handling is the fun part, it really does handle well, not as well as a Cayman S (previous car), but well enough for me.
The seating position is really comfortable, and the R level of equipment is very high, the MFSW really is a MFSW, unlike the A3 2 roller button affair. The instrument functionality is nice to see, Oil temp etc all displayable.
I only sold the Cayman due to the offset seating position playing havoc with my lower back. The roc with some quirkyness is not a bad replacement.
I am enjoying the R, not saying that I will be there for the next 10 years, but I enjoy getting into it every morning.
