The climate control panel is making a buzzing noise on my A4
It varies a bit but it still buzzes when its switched off
Works fine just makes a noise?

theres a lil fin in there
its prob full off crap IE hair old skin dust etc
its quite easy to strip sown and clean

I wondered where my hair has gone!
I will have a look tomorrow

pre-facelift or post?

on a PFL you remove the stereo and then remove the faceplate.
then you should see some bolts to remove the AC unit.

istr it being held in with little tabs?

I think so, can't you take the stereo out and have a feel around the back?

I did try to bend the tabs down with stereo keys
but wasn't sure if it was secured somewhere else so didnt want to force it
as a temp solution i could see the fan spinning so sprayed some silicon spray onto it and after a few sprays went quiet
i think i will get a can of compressed air and blast it with that too until i get it out.

Phoned my friend at audi he said the fans can be replaced but was £80+

Blasting it with silicon might not be the best idea.
You just coated all the skin, dust, hair and the blades in this sticky stuff.
It could get even more on it and make it worse.

Compressed air and a vacuum might have been the best idea.

I found this guide when i wanted to remove my air bag ecu
it shows the aircon unit removal is just by flattening the tabs with a screwdriver.
Not the same unit as mine but it is a facelift with double din
same principal i hope
