Uprating fuel regulator

I am looking at uprating the fuel regulator on my 1.8t quattro (AGU).
Do i need to get the car remaped afterwards to get the right mixture?

Define uprating? if you mean going from a 3bar FPR to a 4bar FPR then don't bother... there is no reason to change the FPR on your car... I run a std 3bar FPR on mine and I have a GT30 turbo...

why do you think you need excess fuel put into your engine?
who advised you of this?
