After the harsh winter some members me included are getting plenty of new engine rattles, now that we can finally drive with the windows open and hear them! Mine sounds a bit like diesel when pulling off in 1st or if I blip the throttle in neutral any ideas?. Was thinking the cam chain tensioner like some other posts I have read. Had a listern around there but nothing unusal apart from some oil next to it with some pipes leading into a silver canister of some sort. Some oil has dripped onto the springs that connect to the gearbox. I have also noticed a drop in oil level too and if i remove the oil filler cap whilst ticking over, a brief bit of smoke comes out normal or not?. Thinking a breather hose split or a valve gone. Had a look around but would like some advise where to look more closely.
