EGR DELETE

Hi,I am looking into removing the egr system on my 2000 Audi A4 1.9 TDiajm engine.As the valve is built into the inlet system,I'm thinking of blocking the pipe off at both ends.Will this be ok?

Well mine's a 1.9tdi 1999 model . Post a picture of the inlet and Egr , id imagine the they are same. If they are its really quite simple to do.

remove and blank the metal pipe that runs between the inlet and exhaust manifold.

Grab yourself 2 plates off ebay , They're pre cut for a direct fit .

Can probably use a slice of coke can and then reinstall the pipe over the top.

have got some 3mm steel so will use the gasket as a template and make some up.

Tried that on my old vectra diesel. Its not strong enough, the exhaust gasses bust a hole right through it wondered why the feel of the car changed suddenly haha.
