hey people. got my a3 late last night. got practically given it! lol

basicly, its a 2000 a3 1.8 t sport quattro. 180bhp.

i was just wanting to know the basics..

engine code first of all?

first and most effective mods people do to these?

Your engine code is on the left side just below the cover. First and most effective mod? I think thats the remapping of the ECU. I don't know what for hp gain a standard map gives you. But my 1.8TQ is custom mapped and produce around 210hp.

great! thanks alot, im pretty sure yesterday i see AJQ? is this the engine code. its my initials of my name is so lol

im going to the the N249 removal today and smoothing of the airbox today. also drill some holes in the bottom to get some noise.

cheers! will have a look now! first mods going to be n249 valve removal and air box smoothing/drilling

smoothing airbox will be a worthwhile mod duno about the n249.

i would take it to audi and get the coilpacks changed for free there a thread on ere about it as audi have recalled all 1.8t's and others for coil pack recall
