1999 s3 turbo help needed

hi guys, my son as a 1999 s3 apy engine .the turbo needs to be replaced but which turbo will fit .we have been told this is a narrowband without a egt sensor .he can blank the sensor off in other ko4 turbos that fit the bam, apx ,etc engines and will work perfect .is this correct and can anyone shed light on this dilema also where would the best place to buy a replacement turbo thanks kev

you need to the k04-020, which doesn't have the egt, or buy as you say a turbo from the one of the others with an EGT and blank off, it will work fine.
