cooling fans wont come on

hi, i have a 1998 a3 1.8t, and the cooling fans wont come on atall, the temp gauge is working fine, any ideas what i could be? i have check all the fuses, could it be the relay, if so how do i check to see if the relay is working? i would realy apreciate any help thanks

its not the fuses they are all fine ?

Did you actually take the fuses on top of the battery out?

Mine looked ok until it was removed.

Also do the fans come on when you put the air con on?

yeah i took all three fuses out of the top, and no they dont come on when the aircon is on?
