Just a quickie.

I've had the wheel arch tidied on my car (thanks to Central Garage in Raunds, he did a great job) and part of the job was to have the whole arch re-lacquered.

How long should I leave it before I can get the car cleaned by the local hand car wash?

Cheers

Check with Central Garage they will be able to advise you on the methods they used. You should be fine to wash and polish straight away BUT do not use any wax or use any sealants for 2 or 3 weeks. The paint needs time for 'gassing out', which basically means letting the thinners evaporate out of the paint, you dont want to upset this process if you want the paint at its best.

If you've just had your paintwork spruced up i wouldn't let the local hand wash touch it. Pop in the detailing section and look for the 2 bucket method.
