J Plate 80 coupe boot not unlocking with central locking

As above. The car is my wifes mums car in Kent and she has asked me if I can havea look at her boot lock, when she openns the car with teh central locking it does not unlock the boot.

Is it a fuse or maybe something simple like a loose connection?
I am not down there until next weekend so this is all the information I have.

more than likely a pipe come off , as they are vacuum operated. Check the connections for central locking in the boot.

yep vac operated. there's a pump in the boot (o/s?) pipes go to all actuators (doors, boot, petrol flap) pump either sucks or pressures up to lock unlock the doors.
pipe might be rubbed thru into the boot lid or the actuator is split inside.

it does lock/unlock manually with the key in the boot?
