I have removed the back badges just the "a3 and 1.9tdi" but has obviously left a fade.
can it be removed with out re spraying the boot?

have you tried t-cutting the area ? if thats not good enough then you need to use a polishing compound and a mop.

Try something like Autoglym Bug and Tar remover or a solvent to try and shift the goo before you use T-Cut.

i used t-cut on mine, after removing all the glue, and it worked fine

t cut hasnt worked and i used it with a buffing wheel

Yea as others have said you just need to polish it out and then use finer grades to achieve the finish you want. T-cut will do it but it may take some elbow grease.
There are several threads on this in the detailing section mate.

ive used hot water, plastic card and a product to remove the glue that was stuck to the car.

Yea il buy some polish on the weekend, is there a good fabric to use i.e. shammy cloths or just a fibre cloth?

Fibre to remove and I always use mag applicator pads! Try the G range at halfords I've just started using it works really well by hand for a compound being used by hand and not me mop!
