Interior light staying on!

the interior light some times go off when doors shut but most the time it stays on and i have bin round and gave
all the doors/boots and good slam.
Is it a sensor fault?

sounds stupid but is the light switch on the head liner turned/switched fully to turn off when the doors are closed.

i had it where the lights wouldn't go out after the doors had shut and the switch wasn't fully clicked in to turn off.

Sounds like the micro switch inside the door lock to me. I had this 2 years ago and fixed it by cleaning the microswitch. There was a thread with pics on somewhere as this is a common issue. HAve a look in the FAQs.

Il give the micro switch a go. The old girls had alot of use 177k

The switch should be in the middle.position to work with the doors

Does your display screen on your dials show anything is open eg. doors, boot??

my dog knocks the rear interior light on with his head on a regular basis, so many times ive come out in the morning to find it on. probably shouldnt hoon it so much with a 40kg german shepherd in the boot lol
