New HID 6000k Bulbs wont work

Hey guys,
Just recently got a cheap set of 6000k HID bulbs of ebay and for some reason when I switch them on one of the bulbs switches off after a second a two. Tried my old bulbs again and their fine. Any idea what is wrong or is it just the fact that they are cheap bulbs? I remember having this problem before I replaced the old battery but not since then.

TBH i'd be taking it up with the supplier. Any reason to be putting bulbs in that give off less light?

I did get onto the supplier. He sent me another bulb but same problem. If I swap the bulbs it is still always the left side bulb that switches off. Almost like some kind of low power trip or something.
Got them as a tester really. Wanted to see how that colour light would look on the car. Dont notice any difference with the amount of light. If anything it seems brighter

Either cheap bulbs or a wiring issue on the left side that needs looking into.

It could be the ballasts..
