K04 turbo

Hi

Can anybody tell me if there is any difference these two K04 turbos with different codes cast on them

the first one is 5304 101 5078 [20.99]

the second is 5304 101 5078 [36.99]

Part number is normally on the plate rivited to the comp housing...

Do the turbos look physically different? K04's on early S3 (APY) didn't have provision for the EGT probe, later ones (AMK/BAM) do..

cheers tufty, im just looking for a turbo at the moment as my old one is shot, its come of an apy, if i get a k04 of a later engine i.e BAM will i need to modify anything for it to fit?

you will need to plug the egt hole up if you are APY....
