no response when accelerating

Hi, I have a problem with my a4 AWX. Whats happening is sometimes when I press the accelerator there is a 2-3 second lag until the car starts to properly accelerate. Also I have noticed it tends to happen when I get off the motorway. I have cleaned the egr few months ago but it cured the problem only for a month or so. Now what should I do with this problem as it tends to be annoying.

My car was remaped but that thing also occured before the remap just not as often as it does now. When I take the car through the revs it goes away... as if something was getting blocked and the air wouldnt find its way through.

wouldnt that show on the vag com? is it a big job? or is it the one near the brake pedal switch?
