Front Bumper

Has anyone trimmed off the "extra" bit on the bumper at the bottom off? I can't see what the purpose of it is? Would there be any negative effects to trimming it down? I don't really want to fit an lcr splitter purely because, like most things, they cost the earth here for what is essentially a piece of plastic that's worth no more than $20 max! I did consider using electrical type to "hide" it but then that would probably look terrible and eventually fall off.

Its to stop the bumper flopping about, paint it matt black..

I painted mine black... its nice to keep it I think as it adds rigidity to the bottom of the bumper but it does look unsightly and kills the smooth lines of the S3 IMO...

If not sure about painting then use black insulating tape... if happy then satin black will do the job

I hate mine as well, but dont really want to fit the LCR splitter as I know it will come off as soon as I go into the dip coming into the work car park or on and off my drive!!

I might do mine matt black as well, didnt even think of that!!
