Hi people

This is a question for those who have aftermarket steering wheels and no airbag. Do you know what ohm resistor is used which you put into the airbag plug to avoid the airbag warning light on dash??

Thanks

AJ

I'm gonna try Maplins tomorrow, they advised they have them in stock.

Would it simply look like a normal resistor with carbon film casing like this? .....................

Does this keep the rest of the system in tact ?
Would the other bags actually deploy in an accident ?

Voltage on can bus is 1.5v-2.5v can low and 2.5v-3.5v high but airbag wires are not can bus wires. The modules are linked with can bus.

Could really do with jb0o to confirm voltage but assuming it's about 1.5 volts then that resistor is ok.

To be fair, he isn't often wrong which is why I asked the question in the first place !

Will do Ash ;)

Got another issue with it actually, so you'll see another topic up in a few mins lol.
