Audi A3 8L1 2002 Double Deck Audio System

Dearest Guys,

I was thinking of installing a double deck aftermarket audio system (with LCD screen) into my 10 years old Audi A3 8L1. Just curious does anyone here has such system installed into their center console? I am a bit worry that the climate control unit cannot be moved down one slot to make room for that double deck audio system... And also, is there any double deck audio kit that would fit perfectly into the center console?

Hi there, you could just do what I have done and install a head unit with a flip out screen it solves all the issues really, as it's a ball ache to move the climate control as you have to shave the sides down to fit. You would need the centre console adaptor to fit in the space to house the double din screen as well. Check this out it's more flexible with angle/position as your limited with a double screen.

Otherwise buy double din cage and climate control. But you can cut edges of your present climate control too to fit the box.
