Hey folks,
New to the Audi world as just bought a 2001 S3 as a bit of a project for myself as i am a mechanic. The cars engine was ****** so i am in the middle of fitting an engine from a breakers yard. The new engine has clutch and flywheel still attached so was hoping one of the flywhhels at least will be in good enough condition to re-use. I was wondering how to check the condition of these flywheels?
I know with Vauxhall dual mass flywheels there is a certain amount of play and twist allowed on the flywheel. Does anyone one know what the tolerances are?

If I recall correctly, the VAG DMF can have upto 10mm of side to side or rotary movement before it's deemed fubar.. I'm swapping mine soon anyway because my clutch is dying, so it's having a Single Mass conversion and Sachs organic clutch B)
