Reverse switch 1.8t 190

Ok guys reverse lights not working changed bulbs and checked fuse but where is the reverse switch located on this engine

The reverse light switches are usually on the gearbox, I've only ever done one before on an astravan. HTH

Yeah thought it would be on the box somewhere but where ? Or would it be under the gear stick gator ?

If you can make out from this picture. It seems to be next to the driveshaft but a bit lower.

Honestly I can't say however have a quick look if there are any wires or connectors near both side.

I've compared both 5 & 6 Speed boxes and they both give the same pictures even with the diesels. So it should be good.

When the switch is here you'll know which connector goes in so you don't need to fiddle much to find where the switch is.

Think it's on the right if I remember correctly the same side as the exhaust....
