Hi guys . My car is in for clutch replacement and the mech picked up that the front of the propshaft is damaged quite bad. The rubber housing has cracked and tip of the prop shaft itself is damaged (flared out) so I have no choice but to remove it and try and repair that tip for now. New prop shaft is way to expensive in South Africa and used ones are very scarce.

How long can I drive the car like this with basically fwd only? What can get damaged or worn as a result of this.

it wont hurt it at all. its primarily fwd anyway.
only problem i can think of is that obviously the traction control, esp, haldex etc wont be aware of the missing prop shaft.
but if your just tootling about in it i dont think it'll cause any problems.
