A3 Cooling Fan comes on!!

Hey Guys, Got a slight problem, every time my A3 starts up and within maybe 10 seconds my fan comes on full speed for about 20 seconds then turns off, but it only really happens every time I start it. Anyone any idea to what's causing this? Loose connection? Temp gauge is always spot on so the car isn't over heating. Thanks

Coolant sensor, fan unit fault, ideally need it scanned to see if any faults shown.

Couldn't be that you have the A/C on and the fan is coming on is it?
