Pictures and opinions wanted.. S-line avant on perches and lowering???

I have a B7 Avant that I want to sort the height out on... Here's my prproblem.

Its a standard S-Line avant so the front sits up slightly compared to the rear, So B5 perch plates are needed to sort this.

does anyone have a pic of a s-Line avant with JUST the B5 perches fitted??

now, I may lower it aswell but I don't want to go too low as I have heard that sometimes with the perches and a drop it can rub/scrape ect.... I did all that 20 years ago, lol

i want it to look level so the fronts not sitting up, and maybe lower it a little but keep it ususeable

Matt.......Cheers Buddy, thats exactly the look i want....they sit too high at the front.

What is it like with the standard springs and the B5 perches....how does it drive???

Doesnt feel any different tbh. What feels much more different is the rear end after fitting rs4 r-arb. Get that done mate makes roundabouts and twisties much more fun

Cheers Matt....only had the car a few weeks so i am slowly getting it to where i want it. RS4 RARB is on my "To-Do" list....

Im still not too sure if i want to lower it while doing the perches...........But i think just fitting them makes a huge difference...

Yeah i wasn't sure about lowering springs. I think there are some 30mm drop eibachs that i wouldn't mind seeing photos off before i make that decision. For me the next thing is getting some spacers to push out wheels abit and possibly a refurb too as they are well kurbed .

Tiffy, I've put the 50/40 Eibach springs on my car and its levelled it out very well and hasn't sacrificed any of the ride comfort what so ever. Had you considered doing this rather than the b5 perches?

This is how mine sits on my 19" rs4's

It was standard sline so if I remember rightly it has lowered it 30/20 as sline is already 20mm lower than normal sus.

That was another road i was thinking of taking but i was struggling to find where to get them 50/40 springs from.........Where did you get yours from???....Looks just what im after

I will do once the mrs gets back with it mate, might have to be tomorrow now though as its getting a bit dark now. Also I've only got the standard 18" 5 spokes on at the minute as the rs4s are in for a freshen up.

This is my b6 se on 40mm apex springs and b5 perches, just to give another option. If I was to do it again I'd consider the eibachs, but a fellow b6 member used this exact setup so I copied as I knew it would provide the look I wanted. Just need some spacers now.

Whats the ride like???....does it rub/catch/scrape at all????

The ride is good, a little bumpy sometimes but not overly, my mrs uses it everyday for work and never complains. It can bang the underside of the car on the little black and yellow speedbumps if you hit them fast but I suppose it does on those with standard springs because they're very harsh bumps. It's never rubbed or scraped though even with a car full and on the 19's.
