A4 B6 Key Fob Intermitantly Working

Hi,

Wonder if anybody can advise me on this fault.

Every other day when I try and open the car with the fob it doesn’t work so I have to open the car with the key and soon as I put the key in and turn to the ignition it works again??

When it wasn’t working I tried my space key fob to eliminate the fob and that didn’t work either it’s something in the car

Anybody had this fault??

Happens to me occasionally, I just put it down to some sort of external interferance. No idea if that's actually the case, but as it's no infrequent I've never given it much thought.

may happen 1 day then not do it for 2 or 3 days? odd really cant be the key as the spare is the same?

Tried synching up with car ? Tells you how to in manual .

as far as I know you put the key in to ignition until the light comes on and back out again and then it works then fails a short time after

basically you've got to remove the battery in the keyfob & slightly bend the pins so they make a better connection, it worked for me for a couple of months then it started doing it again, ive did this about 3 times now & its fine
