bam oem piston ring order

with the oem piston rings which one is the top compression ring and which one is the bottom compression ring (middle ring)?
i have 2 rings that are obviously the compression rings, one is shinny chrome like and the other is a dull grey colour.
am i right in guesing the shinny chrome one is the top compression ring?

second compression ring has a recess in it IIRC and should have 'top' printed on meaning the way it faces... chrome ring on top
