First start in mornings gear selection a lot stiffer and not smooth .. Are we all encountering this ? When warm all okay

Hi, I thought that the oil is a type that should not be that affected as the temps aren't that cold. I would put it down to the gear linkage bushes.
My A3 doesn't seem to have a stiff gear change at all, but an Octavia I had before was very stiff coming out of reverse when cold when it was brand new. That loosened up nicely over a few thousand miles and never caused any problems long term (I had it for 8 or 9 years). I guess if I were you I'd wait and see if it loosens up over the next few months. If it doesn't improve at all then maybe there's an issue, but hopefully not!
One more thought: Is it stiff coming out of gear too, and stiff whilst going into a gear, or is it just blocking and resisting you as you start to go into a gear? If it's only blocking when going into gears then there could be a clutch issue.
