Towing with an A3 1.8t Sport 8L

Apologies if its already on the forum and I cant find it, does anyone know the max allowed towing weight?

Thinking of having a tow bar fitted, and wanted to know if the car is capable and legal to tow a trailer carrying a light-medium car.
Anyone with info, experience of this?

From a quick search about, it's not concrete but seems to be 1500kg's using a braked trailer? Anyone able to confirm? Is this the max allowed weight the car can tow. ie. a trailer with a mam of 1500kg should be legal to tow... trailer about 300kg car about 1200kg overall weight 1500k
