DIS wiper stalk question

Hi all,

planning on fitting my DIS wiper stalk tomorrow afternoon (really hope i don't pop the airbag! lol) but i wont be able to get to someone with VCDS until some time throught the week...

will I still be able to use the washer and wiper functions until i get the DIS controls enabled?

Yes I think so.

Yeah I think it should be fine as the DIS stalk seems the same except it just has a switch on the end.

What about if you're also fitting cruise? I'm going to be in a similar situation; I can fit everything but it will be a while until I can get it coded. So should I be okay to drive with a new steering control module, cruise stalk and DIS wiper stalk uncoded?

I'm sure it should be fine, because as far as I know the two stalks should be similar and your existing controls should still work otherwise it would costs manufacturers more to make them if they kept changing it.
