What would be the best option?

Hi guys, I own an Audi A4 B6 1.9 tdi (130). The turbo is on it's way out and the timing belt is due for a change so I figured I'd replace the turbo while I get the timing/service done.

Euro car parts do a replacement turbo for roughly £500 which I was considering buying. A friend of mine suggested upgrading the turbo since I'm spending so much. I preferably want something that doesn't require a remap. What options do I have?

Or if someone knows where I can buy a good replacement turbo from that would be great. A member on another forum supplies hybrid turbos for £350 but I'm a little iffy about buying a turbo off a private seller.

if your not interested in more power and remapping then stick with the same turbo rather then upgrade

I would rather get a 2nd hand unit than pay that much for a recon.
May be a good bet to search ebay.

I ended up buying a turbo from euro car parts for £402. It says £500 on the site but hey, I'm not complaining
