8V VCDS Mods

he means the VCDS software window, it doesn't use a browser window as far as I'm asware

but copy/paste may be an option to word applications that translate? I'll have to try the next time I use it

Helifella and me tried that. It doesn't work.

The ejection seat thing looks fun

This needs a clean up and to be sticky'd

No sh1t Sherlock ! ;)

Problem is, an info only thread always invariably becomes a comment thread, and it soon goes to pot. Makes it hard to find the specific info.

It is stickied, along with the counterpart "discussion" VCDS thread, but no one takes any notice of either category.

Sticky here:

I think the 1st post of this thread needs to be updated with existing, new and confirmed working mods as it will help everyone out.

A wiki page would be good, this may suffice for now if anyone wants to use it.

Any volunteers to run through the above to confirm if they work or not? lol

I will once mine arrives, 2 weeks or so away.

No initially we all got the dealer to change the ACC default distance as per instruction manual page 122, because no one had yet figured out where in VCDS to change it themselves !

Can anyone tell me with coding i need for this to work on my Audi A3 8V ?

You asked didn't you..!?!?!

And out of principle (and all my own and no one else's principles) - I refuse to help anyone wanting to Code that rubbish with VCDS (unless you drive a golf lol)

No offense buddy, but why would anyone want to code that IN to the car, I'd be looking at coding it OUT of the car asap if it came standard.

I was going to say, surely that is illegal in the UK, may be useful for shifting people out of the on the motorway. Well until the police caught you.

In the Netherlands i always see Audi's with it………..

Looks terrible anyway. Why would you want that? I like the dimming of the DRLs while the indicator is on, it's far classier!

As the saying goes ' one man's poison is another man's cure, or is it change for changes sake :-SS

Hello, I've read a while ago that someone had to disable his rear wiper auto sweep when put into Reverse when the sensor got it was rainning.
I got my VCDS cable today and done bunch of stuff but I would like to know if someone could help me get that one.

Also another thing, is it possible to put the oil temp above the inst. fuel consumption?

nvm i found it out myself
in module 09 adaptation rear window wiper-komfortwischen heck
set to not active.

Hi guys,

I tried to enable to the visual display for rear parking sensors on mine. I followed the coding mentioned earlier in this thread but was shown error 33 - access not allowed.

I typed in the access code provided on here but with no luck. I tried with two separate VCDS and got the same problem both times.

Can anyone suggest how I can activate the display?

Thanks

Try post 162. The security code works.

Yeah:
  1. [08-Airco]

  2. [07] longcoding

  3. [Byte 11] [Bit 6] Blower status in Auto-Mode
Flip the bit

I have found about 3 VCDS mods regarding ACC, anybody care to explain?

  1. STG 13 (ACC) auswählen
  2. STG Zugriffsberechtigung -> Funktion 16
  3. Zugriffscode 14117 eingeben
  4. STG Anpassung -> Funktion 1
[13] Auto distanceregulation, Adaptation, Channel 7, change 0 to 1, Save. Reboot MMI.

ACC Standardabstand im MMI
Codierung
Steuergerät 13 -> Security Access -> 14117 -> Login
Steuergerät 13 -> Anpassung -> #4 -> aktiv

Couldn't find this one:
  1. Select STG 13 (ACC)
  2. STG adjustment -> function 10
  3. Channel set 07 to 1
  4. Then press the MMI the 'Car key, select the' Car Menu 'tab' adaptive cruise control 'from.
  5. You can now define as 'distance' the jew distance setting:Distance 1 Distance 2 DistanceDistance 3

Just to confirm. Start stop can be perms angle disabled as follows (tested tonight on s3 8v):
For reference, the voltage mod to disable SS:

1. Module 19 (Can Gateway)
2. Adaption (10)
3. Go to channel: Start_stop_voltage_limit
4. Change value to 12.1V ( default is 7.6V)

Not on mine. It gives an error of "value out of range" when I try to set it differently. Default is -50, but even trying -49 or -51 was failing for me.

VS and Skoda have an option to close the windows when it starts raining, is this also available on the Audi's?
(I have a rainsensor)

Edit: reading it back Im not sure it's clear.

But when you park your car and open the windows with your key (remotly) Skoda and VW have the option to close the windows automaticly when it starts raining. I want this too.

Yeah:

This didn't work for me.
There is nothing under byte 11.
Am I missing something?

Does anyone know if it is possible to increase the 3 second time for the ACC so it won't cut out

I have tried disabling bit 2 & 4 to see if that will get rid of the 3 second ACC time, and the need to press the accelerator. Not had a chance to test it yet.

I did read somewhere that it's possible but didn't get the required info. It's one mod at the top of my list.
