Does the R8 coolant cap fit the S3 expansion tank?

Hello,
Wifey has been asking what do I want for my birthday and as I have the R8 oil cap, I wondered about the coolant cap to match.

I can see that it will sit higher than the original, does it fit totally OK including having no problems with touching the underside of the bonnet? My car is a S3 from 2007.

I know that it is totally insane to spend this amount on a cap but at least it would not be the usual pressy of a jumper or bottles of real ale!!

Have you looked into the Porsche caps? They're about half the price of the R8 one. You could get a coolant and oil cap for the price of the R8 one!

The r8 one is nice but I was thinking the same

I have heard that the R8 coolant cap can rub the bonnet sometimes so I went for a mixture a porsche coolant cap and R8 oil cap.

Personally I would opt for the black audi TT coolant cap as opposed to the R8 would - looks more subtle and less in your face!
