Quarter mile tips???

Hey off to santa pod this weekend!
running for my first time so has anyone got any tips for me?
im running a standard 1.8t front wheel drive! gotta beat my mates CRX V-tech /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

You are gonna have to lose weight on your A3, if you want to even keep up with a CRX v-tec, they weigh as much as a paper bag and have something like 156bhp??

well beat him once! but he beat me 3 times. split seconds tho! i was leading until the last three quarters of the track!

I took the S3 down to Crail yesterday to settle a score with a mate of mine (supercharged V6 4motion passat). It was wet and slippery so the best time I managed 15.7s at 95.1mph. Not bad considering there was a kid in a big turbo MTM S3 who got a best of 15.297s. Slaughtered my mate on the open roads, but it's 50/50 down the track from a standing start!
