throttle pedal part number?

Am i right in saying that aslong as i get a pedal unit from a diesel b6 it will fit? had a quick look on vagcat and they list 4 variations for diesel although two of them have in brackets "otto" but then further down the list the same part number is listed for rhd diesel engine,

I have removed cleaned and refitted mine as i found water inside the electronic module, but still next to no throttle response and will randomly go into limp mode, i have sourced a few possible replacements which seem to be both from 2.5tdi's

Hello mate, this happened to mine, had to replace the throttle pedal in the end even after extensive cleaning and pulling apart etc. My part number is 8E2721523 Thats for a 2.5tdi a4 b6 2002. 50quid i believe.

my part number was that i found one the C at the end off a 2.5 tdi quattro which i took a punt on and fitted to my 1.9tdi fwd, and all is working brilliantly, only cost me 20quid too
