New key & Fob Needed

Hi guys i have an A3 1.8 s 2002 i only have one key, can anyone tell me if i can buy another key (say from ebay) and get it programmed . I went to timpsons today and the quoted me £160 so scared to think what Audi would charge for the spare key,


Or is there anyone in the Scotland (Glasgow) area who can do this for me cheers Tj

Corino it was for a new key and 3 button remote they quoted £160, but I'm in good hands now @udi A3 gonna sort it

Oh, good, didn't know they do Audi remotes too I had one off ebay and went to timpsons to only cut the blade for about a £10 as far as I remember.

Most timpsons style shops can only clone keys. Most audis are not clonable so they can't program the immobiliser.

Yeah, I just wanted them to clone the key as I bought a central locking set off ebay which I didn't have in my B5 and then only moved the immo bit and off I went
