Cheap and simple Mods to go with remap

Just remapped my a3 2.0bkd tonight. Very happy with the increase in power. I used mpps cable and a file that I arranged with Andrew at black smoke. Just £45 for the file which included an egr delete and hot start fix. Can anyone recommend any cheap and simple mods to go with it, I'm a mechanic so have access to tools equipment ECT, was thinking of cutting my cat open then rewelding and maybe a panel filter. Are these a good choice and what else could do on a budget with my access to tools and equipment?

dont think you get any gains from a panel filter, and the standard box is good for like 220-230 ish bhp i believe.

but cutting the cat up/off will help alot.
