3.0 Quattro petrol air con compressor

Hello.
I'm very new here, infact new to Internet forums entirely ... So please be gentle
Im struggling to find a secondhand air con compressor for a 2004 3.0 avant sport. Several of the local breakers have units from other models but aren't willing to confirm the compatibility.
Can anyone tell me if the compressors from other models and which years would be compatible? Or have the compatible part numbers?

compressors for the V6 petrol lump that have engine codes: ASN, BBJ, BDV,AMM, AVK

Double check your chassis number falls into one of the following and look for the corresponding part numbers and ask the breaker to confirm part number they have.........or just take the part number of yours and check that way.

Big thanks mike. Just to confirm though, that list of number is a list of suitable replacements, or different models?

Also, what's people's view on how safe it is to drive with the noise? Ideally i could do with driving it a little bit before I get chance to get the pump done...

As mentioned, match your chassis number and/or engine code to find the compressor that suits..........that is a list of all the compressors made for that specific engine
