Headlight rubber seal/surround

Evening all, could somebody give me some help?

The rubber surround that sits on the top of my headlights that you see when you pop the bonnet mine is pretty short and just covers the length of the headlights but I have seen under bonnet pics where the rubber strip is much longer on either side and goes from the headlight to the centre of the slam panel.

Have I got a piece missing? Has mine broken?

Mines a facelift model.

Mine are short like yours and only cover the length of the headlight.

Seem to remember someone telling me that the early Leon models had a full length rubber seal and they can be retrofitted to golf / a3 to stop the muck getting in.

Might be worth some googling!
