Fuel fault tdi????

I have a similar problem.
Car was running like a dream last nite.
Would not start this morning. Clicking when turning the key.
Jumped it of the wife's car.
The little hazard light came on on the dash. I now have no fuel gauge and the trip is reading zero with the no fuel sign on.
Any ideas!

This fuel gauge issue is intermittent but just been out in the dark and noticed the instrument cluster lighting is quite dim,remember it being brighter than this before the gauge problem.

I was going to buy a doner cluster and change just the fuel gauge but now thinking of swapping the full cluster unit,,is this just a straight swap.....one out one in or is there more to it...? maybe coding....?

just adjusted using - and + on dash............doh!!!
