I rang up my local dealership to book a service yesterday and having done ~ 34k miles they suggested I get the DSG oil change and the spark plugs done, I said not to worry and i'd bring it in at 40k as thats about 6 months for me. I had the haldex oil done when I bought it about 2k miles ago so no worries there.

I casually asked what the cambelt interval was assuming it'd be about 50km or 4 years ish. She said "oh we've just changed them so let me look it up..." a minute later she pops back up and says the interval for mine WAS 75k miles but this has been updated to 125k now!

This sounds a bit mental so what would everyone here recommend? Also need to look into the cam follower shortly I assume but that looks fine to DIY and I don't need an Audi stamp for it.

Mine is due at 5 years or 75k miles... 5 years will arrive sooner for me.

Hi s3j..If your car is the TSI engined model it is defo a chain driven camshaft engine and thus does not need to be changed.
