My car went into limp mode a few days ago and then the warning light came on. I took it to a garage and they scanned it and it has come up as the EGR valve, i tried the spray you can get but no joy :(

The new Part is £300!!!

Anyone know of anything i can do without changing it?

Many Thanks James

They you have the wrong forum section bud, this is for the 8L (mk1) A3 / S3.

The EGR on yours is electrically operated, it's possible removing it and cleaning around the piston will help, but it's more likely the electric module / actuator on the top has failed.

A new one is around £200 from Euro Car Parts.
