Whistling noise on tick over

Can Anybody help me out on my A4 1.8T on a 53 reg I have got a bad whistling noise on tick over and when I turn the engine off it seems to have a loud hissing noise for about 7 seconds which is pretty loud and seems lumpy on tick over now ! just done a scan and came up with these two numbers 16891 & 17544 any ideas many thanks

All info is found on Ross-tech. Do a search for the website, then look up the codes. It gives the symptoms and causes etc.

Yes thanks very much just had a look and both codes seem to indicate a vacuum leak somewhere but where do I start looking any help would be great

Check your boots pipes going to the inter cooler these are usually the ones to split or pop off, if it's popped off you'll most likely need new ones and a new clip as it will be worn this is why it will have came off.
