I gave my girlfriend my 2007 1.9tdi and got myself a 2011 2.0 tdi s-line
anyway as soon as she started driving it,the car went into limp mode after overboosting,after researching the forums I found the sooting problem of the vanes etc
some saying use Mr muscle by taking off exhaust or the proper cleaners by the same method,This looked a royal pain in the rear
on this model so after a bit of searching I found Revive turbo cleaner which goes in through the intake pipe
I was a little sceptical and shocked to pay £46 for a spray bottle and detergent but still cheaper than paying a garage to strip it.
I followed the instructions to the letter and all went well.
road test time! went for a blast on a dual carriageway and went into limp again,stopped and cycled ingnition and went onto motorway and went into limp,managed to keep it at motorway speed for 2 junctions,thought this would get it hot and blow out
the deposits,stopped when i could and restarted for the return trip down the motorway
it didnt go into limp and went very well,so I think I have sorted the problem and recommend giving Revive a go !
