After 80 plus views and no replies i decided to have a go at changing the switch without removing the surrounding trim panel.It was so simple.Screw through the switch front plate with a small self tapper, give it a tug with a pliers and out it pops.Connect multi-plug to rear of new switch and click back in place - literally a 5 min job.Hope this helps anyone else with damaged/peeling esp switch.

Good job, I had to remove my cup holder the other week, and couldn't find how to do it so have up haha
