Has anyone ever fixed a lumpy tickover? Mine bombs along fine but when I get in a queue or at lights etc the tickover is sometimes lumpy, other times it's fine.
Changed fuel filter, air filter, fairly new egr and inlet manifold all cleaned out.
2007 2.0 tdi 170

Thanks

Do the oil burners have a pcv......my 2.0t petrol had racing revs at idle until I changed the pcv.....quite a common issue with the 2.0t's not sure about the diesels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYIzpX3ptjQ

Cheers

mine is the same mate also slightly hard to start when cold but gotten better as i have just replaced the glow plugs, still not perfect though. the idle is annoying me though and i have also stripped my egr and manifold off and cleaned them out.

My car just had brand new egr and seems no better which i was very disappointed with.

Mines the same as well, 170tdi BRD with 12 month old injectors and egr/anti shudder/inlet manifold cleaned and anti vac unit replaced. It just seems to be the way the 170's are to be honest
